Carolyn is Tracy’s first Registered Play Therapist. She provides counseling services to ages 3 and up facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. As a counselor, she facilitates deepening relationships and communication for individuals, couples and families. Her background in theater allows a unique insight into the world of non-verbal communication and play which is so much a part of being a child, old or young. Theater has also enhanced her ability to guide in developing the ability to express their emotions and needs.
This could mean play therapy for the young, sand tray for the lost, and guided questioning for the searcher.
For teens it means an opportunity to discover who they want to be and grasp positive strategies that will get them there.
For couples, it means doing a relationship check-up and then learning how to strengthen the weak areas and better utilize strengths.
In expressive arts groups it means both preventing problems as well as recovering from hurtful experiences with peer support.
