    About Carolyn

Carolyn provides counseling services to ages 3 and up facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. As a counselor, she facilitates deepening relationships and communication for individuals, couples and families. Her background in theater allows a unique insight into the world of non-verbal communication and play which is so much a part of being a child, old or young. Theater has also enhanced her ability to guide in developing the ability to express their emotions and needs.

    My Education & Experience

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (113105) in the state of California and a Regestered Play Therapist (T1546) with the Association for Play Therapy. I have been practicing since 2009. I graduated Summa cum Laude from California State Hayward with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts and earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2010.

My therapeutic focus is on an emotional awakening of connection, purpose, and responsibility, which leads to awareness, acceptance, healing, understanding, and growth. I consider myself a champion of healthy marriage, play at all ages, and a holder of hope.

I also support my client’s strengths including any beliefs in powers greater than themselves. I have experience working with those who are non-denominational, Christians, including members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and am open to non-Christian belief systems as well.
